The Wilky Group has appointed Steven Wild as managing director of a new subsidiary that will concentrate on delivering new commercial property development opportunities.
Steven, a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Association of Project Managers, joined Wilky last year to assist with the completion of the £30m Aldershot Centre for Health, the UK’s largest primary health centre which was officially opened by The Princess Royal.
“The credit crunch has slashed property values by around a third, which means there will be opportunities to create value when occupier demand picks up as the economy emerges from recession,” says Steven, who reports to group chief executive Malcolm Young.
Meanwhile another Wilky company, Wilky Property Holdings PLC, will focus on redeveloping some of the group’s own properties, in Surrey and Hampshire.
Wilky is a 60-year-old private group of companies based in Guildford and Farnborough, which also owns and operates Parallel Business Centres and manages property portfolios for several large pension schemes.
