Wilky Group Chairman & CEO re-elected for 3-year term at CBI

Malcolm Young, chairman and chief executive of the Wilky Group, was re-elected for a three-year term at the CBI South East and Thames Valley Council from January 2019 following voting among members. He previously served two terms on the CBI South East Regional Council.

Mr Young has over 50-years’ experience of commercial property and its interface with economic development. He has completed over 80 projects during his time at the Wilky Group and has several current projects across the region.

Malcolm is a fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and has a lifelong interest in revitalising communities through their built environment. He has acted as head judge for the regeneration category of  the RICS awards for many years.

He chaired Enterprise M3’s Land & Property Group for three years, as well as leading the former Hampshire Economic Partnership’s Land & Property Task Group.

Malcolm is also a Freeman of the City of London and a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Clockmakers.

He was delighted to return to his position in 2019 at a time when the region’s importance to the economy is going to be crucial to the country, now disrupted due to Covid-19, and has recently been asked to join their SME board.
